MaskROM Mode for Unbricking

The device can potentially be bricked if you are doing things like replacing u-boot.

W need a way of unbricking.

It would appear we need to ground the clock pin on the emmc chip to achieve this, whilst powering on.

I currently do not have a way to do this.

If anyone has a scope and could take a look, it would be handy.

You can go into maskrom mode using rkdeveloptool as well. First go into loader model with USB-A cable + reset button trick. Then run `rkdeveloptool rd 3` and it will switch to maskrom mode.

Our problem is that the reset button isn't doing it, ie the device is bricked. We need to unbrick by shorting out the pins so we can get into maskrom mode.

Above the emmc, next to the trash can drawing, there are two unlabeled pads which I _think_ may be what we are looking for...

When I power cycled my board, it connected in maskrom mode automatically so I didn't need to use this yet. I'm not sure if my guess is accurate either.

Does anyone know where are the pins to enter in Maskrom mode on a x88pro 20? Thanks
Are you able to enter the maskrom mode using the reset button? It may take a power cycle to get into the maskrom mode. I usually switch off my device completely and wait for a couple minutes. Then I press the reset button and I switch on the power while the reset button is pressed. All this while I have
dmesg -w
in a terminal window so that I know when it has entered the maskrom mode.
