I have now managed to get Armbian installed on the T95 Plus without needing to open the box.

I used the same procedures on my X88 Pro 20 RK3566 8gb ram, 64gb rom, and it works amazing (i first installed the T95 Plus firmware just to be sure), i think all of the RK3566 boards are the same (or everything is compatible) because i had previously used the firmware from H96 Max, HK1 Rbox R2, HK1 Rbox K3, T95 Plus in my tvbox and all of them worked just fine, hope this helps someone

There is another manufacturer that makes tv box with the rk3566, is the Zidoo M6, i found one android image http://apidl.zidoo.tv/M6/linux/update.img but after installing the system appears the Zidoo logo and then "installing software" but then nothing else happens, maybe someone will find that image useful, here is where i got the image link https://www.cnx-software.com/2021/10/17/zidoo-m6-review-android-11/
Regarding wipe data of boot and recovery partition.
1) If you want to retain the Android TV's boot, you can wipe ONLY the recovery partition. The box will boot into Android TV normally, and it can be boot into Armbian by plug in the power whilst holding the reset pin.
2) As far as I remember, T95 Plus's uboot is set to boot the SD CARD first and then eMMC. However, the SD card must have EFI partition. Quartz64's SD card images can be boot directly without wipe any emmc partition.
3) You can even PXE boot, if you open the box setup the UART connection and enter the uboot.
